Neoprene Closed Cell Sponge

Neoprene closed cell Sponge has been formulated to provide resistance in applications requiring resistance against Oils and Chemicals.

Neoprene closed cell Sponge has good temperature resistance in hot or cold environments and also provides excellent thermal properties in both extremes of temperature.

The material is flexible and durable and has good recovery characteristics when released after compression.

Neoprene Closed Cell Sponge Specifications

There are a range of closed cell Neoprene Sponge materials available in colour Black, densities and hardness as follows;

  • Ref DK1720 Density 140-190 kg/m3, 40-50 Shore Hardness
  • Ref DK1410 Density 115-155 kg/m3, 40-45 Shore Hardness
  • Ref DK1735 Density 150-200 kg/m3, 50-60 Shore Hardness

Differing densities and Shore Hardness assist in applications where closed cell Neoprene Sponge is required to provide sealing properties to prevent ingress of Air, Dust, Moisture and Water.

Neoprene Closed Cell Sponge Capabilities

As Neoprene Sponge is closed cell construction, it requires minimal compression provide a seal.

The material is flexible and durable and has good recovery characteristics when released after compression.

Our range of Neoprene closed cell Sponge materials all have Flame Retardant specifications conforming to FMVSS302 classification.

We also have a closed cell Neoprene Sponge which has a higher Flame Retardant specification conforming to UL94 HF1 classification. This material is Grey in colour and has the following attributes;

  • Ref DK1620FR, Density 130-170, 40-50 Shore Hardness, Flame Retardant to UL 94 HF1.

Neoprene Closed Cell Sponge Applications

Neoprene closed cell Sponge is suitable for use in a wide range applications for a variety of industries including Construction, Glass and Glazing, Shipbuilding, Railways, Aircraft and Aerospace, Electrical, Engineering and Automotive.

Neoprene closed cell Sponge can be split to your required thickness and can be supplied as Foam Tapes, Foam Coils, Foam Seals, Foam Gaskets, Foam Sheets or Continuous Rolls.
